Grape Variety : Pinot Pinot Gris
This cuvée comes from a massale selection (reproduction of ancient vines), with low yield, planted in a spot in Bergbieten named Bitschfeld. This is a special terroir with remarkably clayey soil. To truly bring forth all the power of this terroir, the grapes are macerated for nearly 10 days. The sulphite-free wine is aged for six months in barrels. This gives the wine character.
It is strong and powerful; closer to a red wine than a white. Enjoy it in winter to warm up ! Uncork the wine an hour before tasting, but do not pour it into a carafe.
