Awards and coverage in industry publications and guides We do not receive a great deal of media coverage and are not susceptible to simply following the latest trends. We do, however, devote all our energy to producing superb wines to be enjoyed with great food; wines that are representative of and bear the hallmarks of their terroir. In the area around our village, we’re lucky to have land that due to the characteristics of the local terroir, are ideal for Riesling. Thus these wines - and various other wines we produce, are regularly praised in industry publications, guides and competitions.

- Guide Hachette 2008Riesling Grand Cru Altenberg of Wolxheim 2005 - Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2008 (in shops from September) :
Riesling Grand Cru Altenberg of Wolxheim 2005 (Scored 87/100) : « Clear golden yellow colour. Expressive nose combining lemony notes and a hint of gunflint. In the mouth, the emphasis is on elegance. The same flavours appear, this time, characterised by a delightful freshness. An extremely promising vintage. »
- Guide du Routard 2007 - Challenge du Vin 2007 à Helsinki (Finland) - Riesling Altenberg 2004 :
Silver medal in the over 10 € Riesling Category.
- Guide Hachette des Vins 2007 :
2 stars for the Pinot Gris Cuvée des Premiers Frimas 2004 : « This vineyard produced a wonderful catch last year in terms of Riesling. All their expertise with Pinot Gris shines through with this straw-yellow wine and its exotic fruit notes (mango), opulent and complex, together with delicate mineral hints. In the mouth, remarkably balanced and pleasantly lively, fresh citrus notes with good persistence. A promising wine, well worth waiting two to three years before drinking. »

Coup de Cœur 2 stars for the Riesling of Wolxheim 2003 : « Wolxheim is famous for its Rieslings - this isn’t the first time a quite remarkable wine has come out of the terroir of this property. This 2003 wins us over straightaway with its intense, complex aromas of candied fruit, dried fruit and mineral hints. The palette of flavours persists through a powerful, rich mouth-feel where surmuri, persistent fruit aromas win the day.. »
1 star for the Riesling Altenberg of Wolxheim 2003 : « Once again, we find this vineyard singled out for its Riesling Grand Cru. Straw yellow with green highlights, the 2003 is remarkable for its nose, powerful, yet delicate, with candied fruit notes. Supple attack, rich and balanced, delightfully fresh, the finish is characterised by citrus notes. Altogether, a very elegant wine that will soon be ready for drinking. » 1 star for the Cremant d’Alsace Brut : « … ; yet again, they have offered the jury an extremely pleasant Crémant. Comprised of 80 % Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling, this wine gives us a fine, delicate, fruity nose. Fresh, well-balanced and structured. »
